Oh...these pics are awesome. I must visit you one day!!!! You are welcome to visit any day. ;D We've got a nice cozy hobbit-size room available. (Honest! One of the small cottages was built that way to save space.) Alright, alright... I'll take a picture of it. Otherwise you won't believe me. Oh dear... Myra, you're hopeless! But yeah, it does look kinda elvish. I think you'll be glad to hear that Finnish rowing boats are often painted light green. It's something of a tradition. And don't you even think about stealing my boat and going to Mordor... You have my permission to take the boat but you're not allowed to go on your mission, quest, thing ALONE. You'll need someone who can navigate. ;D *off to find hobbit size lifejacketses*

If not me then my cousin or some other relative of mine. Finns don't go on a holiday alone, we're bringing along the rest of the family. Fortunately, the main house can accommodate 5 persons, and the guest house (Bagshot Row) 15.

Downloaded my holiday pictures, all 200 of them. I was trigger happy with camera. *cough* ^ The White Tree of Gondor! Not really. Just a funny-looking pine tree. ^ a random view ^ a hobbit size cottage. (That's my lifejacket you see hanging from the door. We forgot to remove it, preciousss.... ) ^ Campfire and the sleeping hut. Some of us sleep here in winter because it's fun and considered "extreme sports". ^ the bathing house ^ big trees and garden furniture. Believe it or not, that table and those chairs are normal sized, built for adult humans, not for hobbits. ^ sheep.... There are chickens, too, but I forgot to take a picture of them. (I swear to you, this place is a friggin' Shire. ) ^the road goes ever on and on... ^ signs of civilization: electric lines. Spoil a nice scenery... ^ a view from the main house overlooking the lake ^ me, at home, after an exhausting week at the summer cottage. (And yes.... I AM 27 years old. *feels old, very old* I don't look like it, though. Must be the Ring... )

Thanks. I'm glad you like the Hobbit sized cottage, I'm kinda proud of it myself even though it wasn't built in a hobbit-ish way. It's a miniature sized version of a traditional Finnish cottage. Purdy.... lol There's one word I haven't heard in a long time. Some crazy friend of mine used to say "purdy fishies" when he was talking to the fish.

Alright, more purdy pics for you to see. ^ a view from the window (the hobbit sized cabin) ^ watch your step, ya might hit your hobbity toes ^ very far to fall... (It's a 15 feet drop into the deep lake below.) ^ random flowers ^ a very small chair and my big feet ^ a small lantern (Yes, I'm trying to make sure everyting is hobbit sized, including the furniture. Well, excluding the bed. ) ^ yet another random view from the shore ^ same place, just facing the other direction ^ the main house (notice the roof is supported by an old tree trunk)
