Oh really? What does it say? (translated I mean ) Oh, you had to ask. Well, the Finnish version of Puff the Magic Dragon is... different. First of all, the story is a LOT longer. A total of 6 stanzas, all unique, no refrains. (While the English version has at least 3 refrains, covering almost half of the lyrics.) The song tells us more about Puff the dragon. He was created 1000 years ago and he's been exploring the world ever since. One day he got lost in the fog, couldn't see where he was going, and had to make an emergy landing (so to speak). Puff was injured, couldn't get up anymore. A young boy found him and fixed him. Puff was very happy, he was able to fly again, and laugh again. Puff and his friend would go on adventures together. (Not sailing, though, but they would scare the heck out of some pirates. ) Eventually, the young boy grows up. He doesn't want to play with paper dragons anymore. Puff would sit alone on the beach waiting for his friend. Now... The Finnish version doesn't end there. Puff will get a new friend. Someone will find the poor old dragon and fix him good as new (for his old scales are pale-coloured and already falling off). Puff will fly again, go on new adventures, and take his new found friend with him. ;D *ish happy for Puff the dragon*
