Rather than ramble on about this topic (my upcoming trip to NZ) all over the place, I decided to create a new thread. I need a place to vent my thoughts and feelings. *bouncing off the walls in anticipation* Alright, I'm going to need a pint or two to calm down. *off to the Green Dragon*

I'd be glad to take you with me, but I doubt your parents would allow it. You're still very young for a hobbit... or for an elf. *hates the airlines* I'm only allowed to have one bag, maximum of 23 kilos. Darn... When I went to California I was allowed TWO bags, 32 kilos each. That's makes a total of 64 kilos. Meh, I almost exceeded that weight limit. I do NOT travel light. Only this time I'm going to have to. Qantas airlines' regulations. Perhaps it's good, for I'm traveling alone and that means I'm actually going to have to CARRY all my stuff. Last time I had a friend with me (she travels very light) and she ended up carrying all of her own stuff and some of mine, too. *cough* While in California, I had gone on a shopping spree and the amount of luggage I had was insane. Fortunately, my friend is a regular Samwise Gamgee. She didn't complain about the excess luggage. ;D *still struggling with her packing list* I'm so not leaving my books behind! I need my Book of Quotes, and LotR... and the Finnish translation of LotR. And my Guide to Middle-earth.

Yeah, traveling is easy and the plane tickets are cheap (because Australia is very close to NZ). But that's not the thing. The thing is, the Middle-earth tour itself will cost 3750 NZ dollars per person. Well... unless your parents are wealthy then why not? i only need one bag i pack light lol. Heck, I need a huge bag for a weekend trip. Honest, I've got tons of stuff that I need and couldn't live without. Or at least I think I couldn't. In a tight spot I could probably survive a week or two in New Zealand with just ONE bag but I would complain about it all the time. "Where's my portable water boiler? I need a cup of hot tea right now!" Hmm.... Perhaps it's different when you've got a bunch of Ringwraiths on your tail. Meh, I wouldn't want to spend too much time packing my stuff. Or burden myself with too much luggage.

lol i gots lots of money myself, but if i aint going then you has to tell us everything preccciosssss.......... Whoa... Are you being serious? If you've got the money (and your parents allow you to travel) then what are you waiting for? Just go! Our tour group is small, we've got plenty of room for another Ringer. ;D That's if you really WANT to go. And not just playing around with the thought.

Oh, shucks... Looks like I'm going to have to go alone. My best friend is a Ringer but not obsessed enough to travel to New Zealand. As far as my family and relatives go.... well, they are Hobbits. They would rather stay home where it's comfortable. Besides, many of them are afraid of flying. *sigh* I think I'm the only adventurous one around here.
